When talking about tournament fishing, most clubs, leagues, trails or tours will only count bass which are actually not in the bass family, but in the sunfish family. They are also referred to as "Black Bass." They include the Largemouth, the Smallmouth and the Spotted Bass. Some tournaments may allow others, but these are the primary species. Take a look below...
