Blue Crabs

Hey guys!!!
Have a ? I gave my friend John my crab trap to throw in the brackish water area behind the condo where I fish and where he lives. All he has caught is a turtle. However, I just found out that about 3 or so years ago some dudes from a local eating place had traps in there and they where cleaning out these traps DAILY (thus depleting the crab population). Any clue as to how long it takes crabs to mate and stock up the area????Thanks for any input!!!

Legal Snook

Check out the pics of the "Legal" sized snook that this dude Tim caught tonite on the bridge. Took pic, measured, and ASSUMED he was gona toss her back, and he didn't. I was like devastated. The bite was on, I had 4 awesome runs, but I decide to leave. What is wrong with me, does anyone else feel this way when they see people keep fish????

Hello, Karen, just sent a friend request, and didn't leave a msg.. Till now. Hi. My names Gary. I thought your town's name rang a bell.. I was thinking of Dunellen, (I think that's the right spelling) but it turns out you're near my friends sister in New port Richie. I saw the pix from Rainbow River,(don't know if that's the same Rainbow R.- I don't recall little waterfalls..) so I guess you're not too far from Dunellen.. I've fished that, Beautiful river.. and the Withalachoochie (?).. Silver, and Homasassa.. But I was Very Impressed and Amused with the Suicide Bomber Cat... now that's funny. Anyway.. About your Tatoo... I can't imagine your difficulty finding a good pic of a Snook, especially down where you are. Maybe log in to 'In-Fisherman, or some Snook Specific site? make sure you get EXACTLY what you want, and check out the 'artist', see their past work.. it is art, and your Bod is the canvas..Tats are forever. Anyway... Good to make your aquaintence, and look foward to hearing from you... Good luck with your Body Art..

Hello Karen, was just wondering if you've done any fishing since the last time we spoke? Where exactly in florida are you? I'll be back in the sunshine state on Tuesday morning. I hope we can get together one day and go fishing. How far are you from Hollywood?

Hey Karen, that sounds awsome. I'd love to get together and wet a line or two with you. As far as the catch and release .......I think takeing a picture satisfies me just fine. Like you said, "that way you can go again next week or whenever and still be able to catch fish. Look forward to hearing more from you.

Hey Karen, from reading your profile and your blogs and comments; you have got to be the coolest woman I have never met! I'm living in southern N.J but am moving back to south florida on 7/7/09. (Hollywood fl.) I used to live there for almost 20 years. It sounds like your alot like myself when it comes to fishing. I can't wait to get back and start catching some nice snook again. I used to live just to go snook fishing. Oh, bye-the-way, yes it breaks my heart to see people keep fish also. THROW THEM BACK!!!

Thank you. My son likes to go fishing but my daughter hates it. I have to force her to come out with us, lol. Thanks again for the comment.

Hey Karen, it must have been fate, i took Eva & Cali to some yard sales this past Saturday. At the last stop i hit pay dirt. My radar locked on a near "mint condition" Shakespeare Sturdy Stik rod with a Penn Peer 209 attatched to it with only a worm gear screw missing. I mentioned the missing screw to the seller and he gave me a Penn Peer 109 in great shape to make up for the missing screw! I ended up paying the guy $5.00 lock stock & barrel for all of the goodies without haggeling over the price like Eva likes to do even if the item costs 50 cents! BTW, the screw only costs pocket change at the local Tackle Shack. I'll stop bending your ear, it's probably hurting by now. Take care girl..............

Goodmorning Karen, I hope you are doing well and all is going good for you. I've only wet a hook 2 times since my last message. I hate to say it but i've been losing interest in fishing. There is so much to do around here. My shrink told me i should get involved again. T ake care my favorite e-mail fishing friend................Larry
