everything is going well thanks. I am getting ready to head back out to fish for steelhead this coming weekend with Marsh Ridge River Guide Service. I am also launching a clothing line and hats and pins for my She's So Fly blog...then getting prepared for winter and ice fishing. I am helping set up a ice fishing clinic for children at different winter events this year. I am a big supporter of the LAV FM Dam to Dam fishing contest for big brothers and big sisters in Newaygo. And you?

Yah I love fresh spring time Bullhead. That used to be the first fresh fish of the year my family would eat. Speaking of that I have to tell a story. I dont think the lady's will much care for it,but here goes.I used to go Bullhead fishingin early spring when they just started bite. The water would be cold! We would put our bullheads in a bucket to keep them alive and fresh. When I would get home I would clean up a mess of them for us to eat.Well they would be so alive and fresh, that when my wife was young and she first started doing it.Fish like frogs and turtle's are cold blooded ! So my wife batterd some up dropped them in a skillet of hot grease, the nerves were still alive. She didn't know any better so when they hit that hot grease they curled. She screamed and thought they were still alive.I told her how could they be still alive ? When they have no head no skin no guts left. I explained to her that it was there nerves reacting. It took awhile to get used to that, but in the years after we had many good bullhead dinners !

Speaking of bullheads, my grandpa and I have gotten over 160 so far this year. There's only about 2 weeks left of good bullhead fishing, then we're on to bluegill.

The better season there for the blues and black Marlin are August thru December. The striped Marlin run November thru March Striped are so plentiful you can see 30 to 40 in a day alot of times. My best day for stripes is 4 caught 3 missed hook ups. I had a client that went in March he topped that with 5 caught 4 missed ! I will be there fishing many different species and types from May 12 thru June 9 I will be updating reports. No pics till I get back
