Where the F*^$% can I find Skirted bullet weights???

-help guys!!-

I've been looking all over the place for these things. Iv'e checked bass pro, dicks, sports authority, smaller bait shops, wal-mart, kmart, and even online. I'm not talking about skirted jigs but just the bullet weight with a knob at the end of it so you can put any skirt of your choice on it to match whatever your bait is. I'm trying it with a 1/16th oz bullet weight a beed in the middle with a black skirt then a 4/O hook and a berkly bait. It looks tantalizing but the skirt like… Continue

they work out great, especially when the bass are really picky. if you take and put them on a shakey head 1/4 oz made by cabellas it works great. just land it on their beds and they just inhale it. i managed to the other day catch a nice 22", missed a huge monster. and ill have to try that sometime (on a chatterbait) let me know how it works

Thanks dude! Fly fishing takes a bit of practice because the cast is so different, but once you get the hang of it it's great. I'm looking forward to getting some more photos this summer, but the more I shoot, the more fish my buddies are stealing from me. Tight lines dude.

Me and a buddy went today, and he took home close to 50. Not exactly sure how many, he hasn't called yet. He needed a bunch for a church fish fry.

We were using mostly 1/8th oz. I used 1/16th some, but not him. They were pretty shallow, mostly 4-6 feet near the bottom. The lake has come up about 3 feet in the last three weeks. We guessed that they had already committed to those spawning areas before the lake rose.

Anyway, just look for some gnarly stuff out of the current and don't be afraid to jig right in it.

Good luck. Let me know how it goes. Get a water surface temp, and I might be able to help more, too.
