buzzbaiting over shallow objects seems to be my trick! and the strikes are so much fun...you see the fish come out of water for them! and the bigger the buzz..the bigger the fish! and dont be shy to try them in midday! especially on overfished areas…

I find myself propping up on those cypress tree alot, flippin trees is my fav by far even late in the season. Alot of it has to do with the type of lakes I fish. I don't fish very many open water lakes, but if I do fish open lakes I like carolina rig…

Hey there

I've gotten a lot of feedback from a lot of great people (including urself) and am very excited to start applying all these techniques with the gear everyone has mentioned

Living in Toronto Canada, a good lake is no more than a few hours drive away. Few of my friends and family memebers have cottages/homes off the Kawartha Lakes In Ontario, as well as the Bay of Quinte. Quinte for now seems like a giant stepping stone away, but being able to fish in smaller lakes where the catch is also plentiful is still very exciting!

I caught many fish off of torpedoes and jitterbugs. Bass seem to love them. I'm going to try the light topwater spoons this year I think, I've heard great things/reviews about them and figure I'd give em a try. As for spinner baits... I've always used bigger ones; and I feel that they might be too big for the areas I'm fishing.

Throwing those Colorado spoons and Willow spoons out on a jig head is something else I'm planning on doing this year. I'm predominately going after bass this year and I hear that a nice jig texas rigged with a swimbait with a few trailers rigged on is a great wait to entice some big feeders.

I've come to rest on this rod:

specifically for bass fishing. Would you recommend a M/MH? I currently own an Abu Garcia Specialist 6’6” Graphite Medium Action, with a 5:1 spinning reel. I feel as if I'm slightly restricted; recommended use for only 1/8-3/4 oz lures with 4-12 lbs line. Then again that may be regular for a Medium Rod.

Any thoughts on the questions I posed?
